Daily Lock Recap for Nov. 12 2018

First and foremost, I would like to take this moment to say how grateful and blessed I am to be with Las Vegas Lock Exchange and I cannot wait to see where this journey takes us. As I write my first piece on the site it is just four of us and I couldn't be happier with the promise we have shown as a group. Just four friends trying to build something great. That is what America is all about.

Now to the picks. To recap
      Captain Locy took OKC -9
      Nuke had the Warriors -3
Karch believed in the Giants money line
I placed my faith in the Magic +8

Starting with the Captain, his OKC pick hit with points to spare. Luckily if you followed his bet you did not have to worry about it to much after the Thunder got off to a fast start lead by Paul George. PG-13 had 10 in the first quarter and finished with 32 on the night. The Thunder put together a 22-0 run in the first, just to show the ineptitude of the Suns. However, Phoenix did cut it to within 9 with 6:46 left in the 4th, but the Thunder pulled ahead and won 118-101. Captain Locy starts 1-0

Secondly, Nuke had a rough night. The Steph Curry-less Warriors did not get it done down the stretch despite a Durant triple double. Tempers flared at the end of regulation due to Draymond Green not giving the ball to KD and instead giving up a turnover. The Warriors could not stop Lou Williams in OT and lost 121-116. Nuke falls to 0-1

Karch had easily the pick of the night. The 1-7 New York Giants went into San Fran and won outright. The refs were God awful, but he'll take it. Eli Manning played his best game of the season with 3 TD's along with a QBR of 110.7. I hate to give props to my opponent, but Karch calling two road upsets back-to-back on Sunday and Monday night is very impressive. 1-0 start and look for it to continue going up. Man is on fire!

Lastly, my pick. Words cannot begin to describe how disappointed I am with the Orlando Magic. Quite frankly the city does not deserve an NBA team after the performance I witnessed today. One day removed from a complete and utter beat down at MSG they follow it up with a solid performance throughout most of the game. They were tied with 7:22 left in the game and it looked like they were easily going to cover, heck maybe even pull off an upset win. They then proceeded to rip my heart out. So many chances to cover ended up being wasted and the foul at the end of the game was the nail in the coffin. John Wall makes both free throws and the final score ends 117-109. A push with the +8. I hate myself. I'll be better. 0-0-1

Standings
Captain Locy: 1-0
Karch: 1-0
Thew: 0-0-1
Nuke: 0-1
