Top 5 2019 NFL Win Total Bets

Image
LVLE Faithful, it has been too long. Apologies for the prolonged absences, but that being said the NFL season is right around the corner and I know you are all ready to make some extra money. Some of the best bets to make are futures. The payouts are worth while and if you know what you are doing, it can be very easy to pick out obvious winners. Here are my favorite over/ under totals for the upcoming season. (All lines provided by  https://www.actionnetwork.com/nfl/2019-nfl-win-totals-betting-odds-vegas ) 1) Jacksonville over 8 (-115)               The Jaguars are just one year removed from a season in which they were a few missed calls away from going to the Super Bowl. Tom Terrific really needed all the help he could get from the refs in that one, but that is neither here nor there. Jacksonville has retained the core pieces of that team. The defense is covered head to toe with playmakers. AJ Bouye and Jalen Ramsey remain one of the best CB duos in the league, Myles Jack anchors

LVLE Update

Image
That's right. I'M NOT FUCKING LEAVING! Classic line from Leo. Ok, now that I have set the tone and grabbed your attention, let me update you guys on what is going on at the Las Vegas Lock Exchange world headquarters. First off, I would like to apologize for the staggering lack of picks and content from the site. I know we haven't followed through on a lot of promises that have been made about where we want to take this site, nor have there been many picks on the twitter as of late. We have not been active because there isn't really anything that is interesting us in the sports/gambling world right now. I fell like we let down the minuscule following that we have. Now, I assure all you out there on the internet that we aren't going anywhere. I guess you could say that we took a little brake. Let's be honest though, it's not like we are that good at picking NBA or shitty NHL games. That stuff is kind of hard, and I don't like to give out shitty pi

The NCAA Section Committee is the Worst

Image
I don't think anyone has ever said this before, but I think it has to be said; the selection committee fucking blows. Year after year they come out with their 68 team brackets, seeding every team 1-16. Now, you would think these guys would know a good amount about the game of college basketball, right? I mean, they are on the committee for a reason. Guess what? THESE GUYS DON'T KNOW SHIT. Every fucking year, you get these stupid ass upsets that just don't make sense. As I'm writing this, Wofford is tied with Kentucky in the round of 32. We had UC Irvine beat K-State yesterday, a 13 see beating a 4 seed. Like, come on guys! You guys are the worst at seeding these teams. If you were any good at your job, there would be no upsets in the tournament, and my bracket could be perfect every year, but that is just too much to ask for. Why even rank the teams at all? Just do what they do at Wimbledon and draw names out a hat, seriously. I'm getting sick and tired of bein

October Over March Every Day

Image
I hate to poo poo on everyone’s parade as March Madness is about to begin, but the title says it all; October is a better sports month than March. You all might be wondering if I’m high right now, or just straight up retarded, but I assure you the logic is sound. October has IT ALL. NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and CFB all happening at the same time. What more do you want? For starters, football is on almost every night of the week, NFL 3 nights, while college football is on around 3 nights a week, even if it is #MACtion. Just the pure notion of an October Saturday tailgating and watching your favorite CFB team gets me so excited. The MLB playoffs are going on all month, with some of the most exciting and intense games that the 4 major sports in North America have to offer. It always seems like I’m up until 2 AM watching marathon games, but they are so fun. The NBA and NHL seasons start in the month of October, where everyone’s favorite teams have a clean slate and a bunch of hope to

UFC 235 Preview! Greatest Card in UFC History?

Image
Here we go! Not much better in the world of sports than a good UFC card, and this is quite possibly the best one in UFC history. According to UFC.com, their "best event ever" is UFC 202, headlined by McGregor vs Diaz 2. While that event was crazy, look for tonight to top it. UFC 235 has everything needed for a legendary night. From the  long-awaited debut of Ben Askren to Jon Bones Jones defending the title for the first time since his return. I've picked the best fights from tonight to give the LVLE faithful the bets that'll make tonight even more memorable. *All pictures provided by  https://www.ufc.com/event/ufc-235#   Fight #1 : Jeremey Stephens (+220) vs Zabit Magomedsharipov (-280)        Obviously the odds are not in Stephens favor right here. I think he has a better chance than some are giving him because of his striking ability. Stephens is a good boxer with some power and speed, but he is and forever will be known for the "Who the fook is that

Call to Action: The Big 10 Needs to Release Song Info for Commercial

I'm sure everyone reading this follows the Big 10 with some degree of regularity. It would be no surprise then if one has seen the commercial linked below. https://youtu.be/sfhfmMipf7k The first time listening to the commercial I heard the song not thinking much of it. Second time listening I realized the song was absolute fire. Third time listening I held my phone up to the screen hoping the lyrics would be picked up. That was during the football season... I have been determined to figure out what the song is called and who sings it for months now. The Big 10 not giving me the information I need is just another piece of evidence to prove that they are frauds. From here-on-out I am putting a curse on The Big 10 until they pony up and tell me the song. This is terrible news for Michigan because it just adds pressure to the failing Jim Harbaugh. The only way that man is getting into Lucas Oil Stadium is if he pays a ticket to see the Colts. Michigan State hasn't smelled

Pass The Cup: A Baseball Gambling Game

Image
Personally I can’t watch baseball on TV, it’s too slow. However, I do love going to games. I attribute this largely to a great game a was taught a few years back. The game is simple and you only need a couple things. First you need a cup, next you need to make sure everyone’s got a nice stack of singles. $10 to $20 should do.   You start up with an ante.   Everyone puts $3 in the cup and set your rotation. I usually play left to right down the row. Don’t pass it like a snake draft, ruins the fun. The game is very simple.   Whoever is holding the cup, that’s their batter. When the next batter is up, pass the cup. Below is what makes you pay into the cup, and what let’s you cash out.   Strikeout: -2  Fly/ground out: -1 Ejection: -20 Single: +1 Double: +2 Triple: +3  Home run: take the cup  (-) means put money in cup  (+) means take money out  When the cup is empty, re-ante.  The game is great because even if you don’t like baseball, throwing some money ar

Bad Beat Breakdown Vol. 1

Image
Welcome to the first ever Bad Beat Breakdown. I will try to make this a weekly blog where I take a look at the worst beats throughout the week. Let's see all the possible ways you could have lost (or won) money in the worst possible way imaginable. 5. Purdue @ Penn State Under 139 End of game free throws are THE WORST. Why foul if you are down 10 points with only 20 seconds to go? Beats me, but the Nittany Lions thought it was a good idea Saturday afternoon. HEY FUCKOS, YOU CAN'T WIN! Because of that critical play, Carsen Edwards makes both of his free throws, making the score 76-64, with a total of 140. Devastating. Then Penn State gives up after they miss a 3 on the other end. Under 139 bettors, I would like to apologize on behalf of all of Happy Valley. 4. Cavaliers +7.5 @ Nets This one sucked if you bet on the Cavs. They went into THREE OVERTIMES. All Cleveland had to do was not tie and easily cover the 7.5 in regulation, the 1st OT, or the 2nd OT. BUT NO! They

People that think Kobe is better than Lebron are Deranged Lunatics

Image
I thought this argument was over. We were so close to ending this completely moronic discussion, so I'm here to put the nail in the coffin. Kobe Bryant has never been, is not, and never will be better than Lebron. Please stop fooling yourself to believe anything different. To understand this argument, one must understand the men we are talking about. This being said, lets start at childhood. Kobe was born into a wealthy family because his dad was a professional basketball player both in the NBA and overseas. Lebron was born to a single mother in Akron. Who's come-up story is more inspiring to the young NBA fan looking for a role model?  Both Kobe and Lebron were drafted out of high school. Lebron obviously went #1 to the Cavs, a terrible organization with awful ownership, coaching and teammates surrounding him. Kobe was drafted to the Hornets with the 13th pick and immediately traded him to a top 2 NBA franchise.  How did each player play their rookie year?

Tickets are Bullshit These Days

Image
Have you been to a big arena recently? Paper tickets have been being phased out for some time now. I’ll admit, logically and “environmentally” it makes sense.   Unfortunately some arenas are completely eliminating paper tickets. This sucks for a number of reasons.   First, what are the scalpers gonna do. If you’ve gone, or have tried to go to a game, you’ve seen them.  In some places it’s legally frowned upon, since sometimes they are trying to get higher than face value. In other cases, a shitty game? Best time to get your ticket is right in front of the stadium for $5 since you know those guys are either gonna eat that ticket or take the $5. Paper tickets gives broke and cheap people the opportunity to enjoy the game too.  Next, if you’ve used mobile tickets, have you ever tried to send them to a friend? Monster headache.  Some sites make you email them and they have to go through the whole process of accepting them. An app I use a lot called Gametime, let’s you get very che

LVLE’s First Hit Piece

Image
For a competitive group of guys, can’t believe it took this long.   By now you all must love our writer Thew.   Well, I’m sure that would be the case if we could get anything written by the guy. Unfortunately we’re inclined to believe that no-one knows who he is.  The last time you could have read something from him would be Christmas Day 2018. Where he posted a much appreciated NBA Christmas Day games blog. He went 2-2 in the picks in the blog which isn’t great but certainly isn’t bad enough to be hiding from our faithful readers for all this time.  Some of you may be surprised to hear that there is a third writer. OG LVLE fans would know we used to have 4 but let’s not get caught up in semantics. To those just joining recently, welcome, and hopefully you’ll get to see some content from Thew.   Hate to have to go at your own people but you gotta do what u can to get things done. Get writing Thew.  -Karch

Joe Flacco and John Elway? Yikes!

Image
Oh how the mighty have fallen. As you all probably heard today, the Ravens have traded Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos for a middle round draft pick. Ah yes, Denver. The Sunshine State. Gorgeous! This marks the end of an era in Baltimore after 11 seasons with Flacco under center. Actually though, how do you go from Super Bowl MVP and signing a 6-year $120 million dollar contract to being a bum that got benched for Lamar Jackson, a guy that can't throw the ball for the life of him. It is beyond my imagination. It actually is crazy how you can get so hot for a 4 week stretch and make millions of dollars and then return to being shit. Remember when they upset everyone in that 2012 postseason? That was so electric, but it all just a memory now. I will give him props though, it takes a certain level of skill to be able to flip the switch like that. Now this guy is in fucking Denver, where they don't have a coach, and John Elway is a dumbass. Speaking of John Elway, this guy

Can Anyone Beat Duke?

Image
The Blue Devils were down 59-36 with only 9:13 Tuesday night against Louisville. That's 23 fucking points. ESPN gave Louisville a 99.9% chance to win this game at one point. But what happened? Duke decided to go OFF and make perhaps one of the greatest comebacks in college basketball history by winning the game 71-69, stunning the Cardinals. At one point during this game, Duke was +1400 on the money line. If you bet that, congrats my friend, it should have made for a nice night. This epic comeback and yet another win by Coach K begs the question though, will anyone be able to beat Duke for the National Championship? Duke has been dominant all season long boasting a 22-2 record, only losing to Gonzaga and Syracuse. Right now, they are 9/5 to win the tournament, making them the heavy favorites, and honestly, I don't see how you could bet against them. These guys destroy the competition, and when they don't they always seem to come away with a win. They are lead by Zion W

NHL Midseason Recap

Image
It's that time of year again folks. There is no more football on TV for me to enjoy until Labor Day, unless you plan on watching the AAF, which I might actually do. What will you be watching in place of football this offseason? NBA and NCAA basketball are two fantastic choices, along with some PGA Tour and NASCAR action every weekend. Who knows, you might get into NCAA Lacrosse for the first time in your life in the coming weeks. However you get your fix in, the National Hockey League deserves your full attention this season, and for good reason. Let me do you all a favor and get you up to speed on what has been happening in NHL. Tampa Bay is the Best Team in the NHL The Lightning are murdering the competition right now. They have amassed a total of 82 points with a record of 39-11-4. If that is not domination, I don't know what is. They have a 13 point lead over the Maple Leafs, who just so happen to have the second best record in the Eastern Conference, and an 9 point

AAF is just about here

The worst feeing every year has to be Super Bowl Monday. Having to go to work or school after Super Bowl festivities is awful. This year is much worse than most others. The game was boring, gamblers made history, and TB12 got his 6th. First off, fuck Trey Wingo. The Super Bowl was 1000% boring . There is no other way to describe that game. "It was a defensive battle," is a "sophisticated" way of stating that the game was boring. I feel bad for Tony Romo, he had it worse than anyone else. We've seen all season when a game is exciting, Romo is the guy you want. So, when these two dominant offenses are in the SB, it makes perfect sense to have Romo. Instead, he got what we all did, the last 4 hours of the season that we wait for and enjoy year after year, was robbed from us with a 16 point coma of a game.  To add insult to injury, we had gamblers all over the place making history, the bad kind. I personally bet the over thinking that this game should be a

Top 5 NFL Films Songs

Image
Championship Sunday is almost upon us, so I thought what better way to get into a football mood than share some of my favorite songs from the countless NFL films. There is nothing that gets me more zoned in than listening to the wonderful sounds that Sam Spence has blessed us with. These songs are as much of a part of football as the game itself and give me chills every time I hear them. First off, there's probably around 20 of these songs that get me fired up and deserve to be on this list, but I won't list that many songs. That would reckless on my part as a writer. Ok, let's get into it. 5.  The Lineman 4. A Golden Boy Again 3. Round Up 2. Classic Battle 1. Pony Soldiers Alright, now I'm ready to run through a brick wall. Which ones did I miss? Hit up the comments section to embrace debate a little bit. See y'all tomorrow for the Championship Sunday preview. Captain Locy

Locy's Locker Room: NFL Divisional Round Preview

Image
This is by far my favorite time of the NFL calendar. For me, the beginning of the season and the 3 straight playoff weekends really get me going. Don't get me wrong, every NFL Sunday is a gift from God himself, but weekends like these get me excited. Now, allow me to preview these 4 fantastic games on Saturday and Sunday. Indianapolis Colts vs. Kansas City Chiefs -5.5 - Saturday 4:35 on NBC Arrowhead will be loud for this matchup come Saturday evening. The top seed in the AFC will be looking to take care of business against a RED HOT Colts teams that is playing its best football at the right time of the season. The big question for the Colts in this one will be if they can stop Patrick Mahomes and the stellar Chief offense. Give that Colts defense some credit, they are playing some great ball right now, but this will be their toughest test all year long. The only way the Colts can claim victory is if  Luck and the offense get out fast like they did against Houston, and lean
